Best Gift Ideas For Dogs
My family and I have always bought gifts for dogs for Christmas. They have their own stockings and they always get some new dog toys, dog treats or even a tasty new dog bone or horn to chew on!
This holiday gift guide is filled with dog Christmas gift ideas from some of my favorite dog brands that I’ve loved for many years. I’ve also linked a few different options under many numbers below to show the variety of options these brands have. Many of the dog gifts below have also been featured on my blog so that you can learn more about them before you buy!
1. Puzzle games have been one of my favorite dog toys this year and Outward Hound has some of the best non-plush puzzle games for dogs (we’ll get to the plush ones from Zippy Paws in number 8). These interactive dog toys are a great way to stimulate your dogs brain on days where you are a bit preoccupied, whether that be while working from home, on rainy days, etc. The two featured above show the varying skill levels that these puzzles come in! From the basic Treat Tumble dog toy all the way to the Hide N Slide Dog Game. I have the larger size in the treat tumble for Diesel and Annie for size reference!
2. I just recently got one of Carlson Pet Products Elevated Dog Beds in the mail and I can tell you that my dogs absolutely love them! Diesel and Annie love sitting out on the porch, especially during the cooler months here in Florida, and so these dog beds have been perfect for them. They love to lay on them by with and without their comfy fleece beds on top. Their elevated dog beds come in red, green and tan and in small and large sizes! I have the larger sizes for Annie and Diesel.
3. My parents dog Aiden loves to play ball. Like, he will run until he can’t run anymore kind of love! Ha! My mom has had this Nerf Dog Tennis Ball Blaster for quite some time now and it is her go-to for playtime with her pups! All you have to do is put the ball in the tube, pull back the lever on the top for the distance you want and then release with the button on the handle! This dog ball launcher toy comes in 35 ft. and 50 ft. My mom has the 35 ft. since our yard isn’t that big ha!
4. The next items on my list that you can never go wrong with are KONG dog toys! The KONG Classic Dog Toy (featured in red) is the original KONG dog toy. This toy is available in multiple strengths (red is the standard) but it also comes in black (the Kong Extreme) which is designed for heavy chewers like my dog Diesel! We have tried both the classic and extreme and Diesel was good with both. He was more focused on what was inside then destroying this toy. Ha! The KONG DuraMax Dumbbell dog toy is another favorite of ours. With a tough exterior and fun squeak inside, Diesel always goes nuts over it! Last but not least is the KONG Wubba dog toy! This is available in many colors and styles and has been a favorite of Diesel’s since he was a puppy.

5. The best dog gift is the easiest one of all, treats! Diesel and Annie both LOVE Spot Farms and I was lucky enough to partner with them this year after being a huge fan for over three years! They have freeze dried dog treats, wild shred jerky dog treats and so many more. The treats featured here are some of Diesel’s favorites from left to right:
- Spot Farms Wild Shreds Grass Fed Beef Dog Treats
- Spot Farms Chicken Apple Sausage Dog Treats
- Spot Farms Freeze Dried Cage Free Turkey Dog Treats
I also did a full review of all of the different treats I tried during my partnership with them. Click here to learn all about Spot Farms Dog Treats!
6. In addition to fun puzzle game dog toys, I like to keep my pups entertained with tasty chews! Diesel and Annie both love antlers, water buffalo horns and filled bones. Featured in this gift guide is this Water Buffalo Bully Horn and Barkworthies Stuffed Beef Bone with Sweet Potato, Carrots and Pumpkin. Both can be found at PetSupermarket as I have found that they have the most affordable prices on natural dog chews!
7. The second to last items featured in my gift guide for dogs are these two Nylabone chew dog toys! I have both of these Nylabones for Diesel and Annie and they love them. I actually got the red one for Diesel in a smaller size when he was a puppy and it was a blessing with teething as he was getting older. Below are the Nylabones from left to right.
- Nylabone Durachew Double Bone Chew Dog Toy (red)
- Nylabone Durachew Double Action Chew Dog Toy (green)
P.S. If you have a teething puppy, or are wanting to get a puppy soon check out my blog post about the 3 Stages of Puppy Teething to learn helpful tips and more about my favorite Nylabone products for young dogs.
8. The final items featured are these fun, plush burrow dog toys from Zippy Paws! I have gotten a few of these interactive plush dog toys for Diesel before (including their lunch box) and he absolutely loved them! These are another great way to give your pet a challenge while they have a blast! Featured above is the Holiday Naughty or Nice Stocking Burrow Dog Toy, the Holiday Gingerbread House Burrow Dog Toy and the Holiday Yule Log Burrow Dog Toy!
That wraps up this holiday gift guide for dogs! All of these would be the best Christmas present or stocking stuffer for your dog.
