About Us

Hi! I’m Caitlin and welcome to my awesome community for dog owners, cat lovers and equestrians, Sparkles and Sunshine Blog! I am a happy and enthusiastic marketing professional who turned her passion for pets and the equestrian community into a place for others to learn, have fun and share all about our awesome furry friends!

Since I was little, I’ve always had a special place in my heart for animals. When I was younger, my family used to breed Labrador Retrievers and my mom did field trials, obedience shows and more. If I had to pick one of my favorite parts of my childhood, it was definitely being surrounded by puppies all the time. I mean, who wouldn’t want that? Ha! I would go to training classes with the dogs and learned the foundations at such a young age, which is what started my knowledge and passion for all of the dog content I share today.

Fast forward to my mid-twenties, my dream of learning how to ride horses finally came true when my fiance bought me riding lessons for Christmas (talk about brownie points!). I’ve dabbled in the hunter/jumper world and have landed in my new passion, dressage. I’ve had the opportunity to ride so many incredible horses that teach me something new every ride, and a wonderful barn family that teaches me about horse care and everything that goes into putting the horse first.

My number one goal with my blog is to help pet parents have the best lives pawsible with their pets! For my dog parents, I’m known for my dog enrichment ideas, K9 fitness exercises, frozen dog lick mat ideas, Puppy 101 section and dog product reviews. For cat owners, I love sharing the coolest cat product reviews and cat enrichment ideas. For equestrians, I share product reviews, horse care tips and authentic everyday life in the saddle from a busy equestrian trying to balance it all!

I’m beyond happy that you’re here and I hope I can make a pawsitive impact on you and your pets lives!

Get to know my awesome furry family below and I can’t wait for you to get to know us better!

Diesel – Chief Barketing Officer

Hi everypawdy, my name is Diesel, also known as Diesel Weasel, and I am what my mom calls a certified good boi. I’m a 107 lb. Mastiff mix and my pawrents found me when I was just two months old at a shelter and fell in love with me. I rarely do anything wrong, I loveeee the ladies (once you go brindle, you never go back πŸ˜‰ hehe) and I’m my mommy’s pride and joy. My favorite activities are wrestling, tug of war, learning new tricks (especially K9 fitness), talking nonstop (deep down I’m part Husky) and going on tons of adventures!

Annie – Branch Manager

Sup peeps, I’m Annie, also known as Annie Bananie. I’m your typical, absolutely perfect dog who’s incredibly smart and talented. I’m the tits and I know it. My mahm says I’m super sassy but she wouldn’t have it any other way. I loveeee to do agility with my mahm and could run for hours. I’m also her top puzzler in the house and love solving every dog enrichment puzzle she makes for me! Somehow I also got nominated as the cat lady of the house because my two younger kitty brothers are obsessed with me (I mean, why wouldn’t they be?). They’re pretty cool though. πŸ™‚

Colonel Mustard – Purrresident

My name is Colonel Mustard and I am just so happy to be here. Everytime my mom or dad looks at me, I purr. Everytime I’m picked up, I purr. I’m just so stinking happy. Don’t let the calm, collectedness full you though…I am a spicy cheeto as my parents call me. I love to get the morning and late night zoomies and go crazyyyy. My top ambition in life is to become a food blogger because food is my ultimate passion. Good thing my younger brother keeps me in shape, because I gotta burn off all these calories!

Butler – Supawvisor

What Up everypawdy! My name’s Butler, I used to live in the streets but now I live on nice King sheets. My mom found me in the middle of the road in the pouring rain and had to save me. Since then, I’ve been living my best life. Probably the coolest thing about me according to my mom, is that I love to play fetch! No one taught me how, including my big doggo siblings because they don’t play fetch. I just did it one day and it’s become my favorite thing. I could do it for hours!

The Chief Food Officers

Since I don’t own my own horse yet, I wanted to share a photo of some of the amazing lesson horses that have taught/continue to teach me so much. Since I probably don’t have them all in this photo, my all-time favorites are Justice, Joker, Leonessa and Pearl. They all have their own unique personalities, but they all have one thing in common, they let me learn. They’re patient and let me make mistakes, while also holding me accountable so I improve.
