Happy Wednesday!
It’s crazy to think that I started my blog two years ago. The learning process never ends, but I feel like I have learned a lot so far! This year I have been focused on growing my blog into a business and I realized that I was missing something important: business cards! I have gone to numerous networking events with my mom and she has always told me that the number one thing she doesn’t ever forget is a business card. I thought it was about time I had some made, and so I was happy when I was contacted by an awesome company called Basic Invite to create my own custom business cards!
I always love companies that give me the opportunity to try a product before I buy it. Especially for something that can come in a bulk order! Basic Invite gives customers the opportunity to order a printed sample of the stationery of their choosing, i.e. invitations, business cards, etc. so that they can see how it will print, what the paper quality is like, and more before they have to place a final order!
You can order as many samples as you want in many different formats, colors, and more.
Once you’ve chosen the designs you like, you can then customize the color scheme! When I looked at their wide selection, there were some where I loved the color palette just the way they were, and others where I had some creative ideas that could really match my brand.
Depending on the company you work for, being able to choose a specific color can be really helpful, especially if you have brand guideline. Basic Invite has over 180 different color options that can be applied to every element on the card!
They also have a variety of
embossed business cards. These cards feature a beautiful foil overlay and is available in gold, silver, and my personal favorite, rose gold. You can choose the foil to be flat or raised on every single design.
If you’re looking for something more simple, I recommend checking out their
plastic business cards! These clear cards are simple, yet effective and are perfect for someone wanting more with less!
With my samples, I chose completely different layouts for each, including vertical and horizontal formats so that I could really see what I liked and didn’t like about each.
If you’re wanting to showcase more of your company’s information on the back, then I would choose a horizontal format. This format better fits email addresses (especially if they’re long) and websites. If you have short versions of those, then you could probably get the vertical format!
If you’re more focused on a branding card with minimal information, a vertical format could be more ideal!
After looking at all of the different designs from Basic Invite, I decided that it would be best to have a variety of cards. Since my blog features many different categories, it would be in my best interest to have cards that showcase each category, allowing myself to have more a better variety at different networking events.
The last thing I will say about my overall experience with Basic Invite is that their customer service team is pretty resourceful. When I first received my samples, two of them arrived with errors that did not meet the expectations I had for them. I immediately contacted their team with photos of the samples and they worked to get me new samples as soon as possible!
I always appreciate when a company makes me a priority and is willing to work with me, even when a fault occurs.
Right now, Basic Invite is offering 15% with coupon code: 15FF51
I highly recommend checking them out and of course don’t forget to follow them on their social channels (listed below)! If you have any questions about the company, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. I’d be more than happy to help!
