I Got A New Car!!!

Surprise!!! I got a new car last week! I am now the lucky owner of a 2017.5 Nissan Rogue S. This car is so sophisticated compared to my last car. Previously, I had a 2000 Ford Mustang. Now, don’t get me wrong, I will always love Mustangs. In fact, once I pay off this car, I am going to keep it and get the newest Ford Mustang at that time. I have loved mustangs since I was little because of my dad and I intend to keep that tradition alive. (Once a Ford girl, always a Ford girl).

I bet you’re wondering, “If you love mustangs so much, why didn’t you get one?” Well, as you all have seen, Diesel keeps getting bigger. So big in fact, that he barely fit in my mustang anymore. I could tell that he wasn’t comfortable and I knew that if I wanted to get another dog in a year or two, my little mustang wasn’t going to cut it.

I began searching for sporty-looking SUV’s and stumbled upon the Nissan Rogue. I didn’t need anything too fancy, I just wanted new. I wanted something with basically no miles, a lot of room, and some additional safety features that I’ve never had before. The 2017.5 Nissan Rogue S model that I purchased came with blind spot protection, a back up camera, Sirius XM radio (for 90 days, but hey that’s cool), and it had a TON of room for Diesel.

When I took Diesel on his first car ride, he was so happy because he could stretch out in the back seat and his head wasn’t touching the roof of my car anymore. He actually has a ton of room above his head! Cross your fingers that he doesn’t get too much taller! 🙂

In addition to having a ton of room in the back seat for Diesel, it also has a lot of trunk space, including removable and stack-able shelves that you can arrange in numerous combinations that help store anything you need while you’re driving. I like to configure the shelves in a box shape so that when we go grocery shopping, I can put everything in that area and know that when I get home and open the back of my car, nothing is going to fall out!

What I love most about this car, is the fact that it is road-trip ready! When Chandler and I first got Diesel, we wanted to take him everywhere! Like I’ve said in previous posts, it is so important to socialize your dog from the beginning. It helps them so much later in life. With this new car, we are ready to take Diesel everywhere and anywhere. All we have to say is “Do you…wanna go…on…..a….CAR RIDE?!” 🙂

If you’re in the market for a new SUV, you have to take a look at Nissan’s vehicles. Their Murano is also a great vehicle that I considered as well. I purchased my car at the Coggin Nissan at the Avenues location in Jacksonville and had great service. If you’re in the area, definitely go to them!
