Jax & Darci: October Darci’s Dog Box Review

Today’s product review is from a small business that I have been following for quite some time. When we first got Diesel, his very first friend that he met was a Wheaten Terrier named Neville. They instantly became best friends and still love each other to this day. Jax and Darci is an adorable small business that is inspired by the owner’s two own Wheaten Terriers, you guessed it, Jax and Darci!

Jax and Darci feature items for your pup like dog toysdog bandanas and dog collar charms but they also have adorable items for us dog moms like sweatshirtsmugs and more! One of my favorite items in their shop is their subscription box, Darci’s Dog Box, which was created in loving memory of Darci. We have quite the addiction to dog subscription boxes in our house like Barkbox and SuperChewer, so what’s one more right? Ha!

Today I am giving my full review of the October Darci’s Dog Box and everything that’s inside!

P.S. Have you seen some of my Halloween dog and owner costume ideas? Check out my Tony the Tiger costume idea and my Monkey and Banana costume idea.

What’s Inside Every Box:

Let’s talk about what’s inside! Each month, every box is tailored to a different theme and includes five items:

  • A Dog Bandana
  • A Dog Toy
  • Dog Treats
  • A Dog Bone
  • An Item for Mom!

What’s cool about this box is that it features products from some really cool well-known dog brands and also some brands you may not have heard of. For instance, some well-known dog brands that have been included are ZippyPaws, Spotted Dog Bakery and BarkWorthies. Some dog brands that you might not have heard of are Bam-Bones and Playology Pets!

What’s Inside The October Darci’s Dog Box

The October box featured the following items and brands:

Our bandana was a size large and fit both Diesel and Annie! For reference, Diesel is 100 pounds and is an extra large dog and Annie is between 60-70 pounds and is a medium/large dog. For her, I just rolled it up a bit more than on Diesel and it fit perfectly!  Next up are the spooky Halloween dog cookies! Each box received different shapes and designs, but the most common were the pumpkin, black cat, and ghost. As you can tell Diesel LOVED them! It took everything in his power to not eat these while we tried to get a picture! Ha!

The next item in the box was the witch Halloween dog toy from Huggle Hounds! I figured it was safest to give this toy to Annie first since she is not as destructive with toys as Diesel (all my destructive dog moms can relate ha)! Annie immediately loved this toy. It was so fun and festive, and is a great size toy for any dog in my opinion.

I couldn’t resist adding in this blooper of her catching it too. Quite often she’ll use her paws to catch things instead of her mouth and this picture was too funny not to share! Ha!

The last dog item in the box was the Bam-Bone Dog Chew from Ethical Pet. This is a brand I had never heard of before and was quite curious to try! Diesel and Annie both love chewing on bones, but with Annie’s sensitive stomach, Diesel will get to enjoy this special treat.

These bones are made from natural Bamboo fibers and are transformed into a durable bone, intended to keep your dog busy for hours while also keeping their teeth clean! The flavor of this bone was bacon and I will be letting Diesel chew on it more throughout this week to see how durable it really is for my superchewer!

Last but least, the dog mom item! The box included two cute containers of gummies from Candy Club. One jar had witch hat gummies that came in grape, apple and orange flavors and the other had citrus flavored fruit slice gummies. The only candy I really eat is gummies, so this dog mom item felt like it was made for me. Ha!

I honestly loved Darci’s Dog Box! It’s such a fun gift idea that gives businesses of all sizes a chance to be featured to more people. Plus, I’ve never seen a subscription box that has surprises for both the dog and owner! The November box is officially sold out but the December Darci’s Dog Box is still available! Head over to their website to see their subscription options and start customizing your box!

P.S. For everyone who read to the bottom, here’s a surprise! Make sure to check my Instagram in December for a surprise giveaway for your very own Darci Box!
