Spring Date Idea: Flying Kites

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Chandler and I had a pretty relaxing Saturday. We ran a few errands and then spent the rest of the day at home which always feels really nice. Sunday I went to the stable and of course had the best time. I tried to take my phone with me more this time around so you all could come along with me on my Instagram stories. I definitely did better than usual but I’m going to try and share more next time! I hope you all liked what I shared. I created a story highlight called “Riding” where you can always look back at what I’ve already posted.

Also – something else that was funny. I put my new Fitbit on while I was riding yesterday to see if it would count all of the steps and it did! When I got off Brandy I saw that I had done over 18,000 steps! ? Looks like we both got our workout in! ?

Today I am kicking off my spring date series with a classic idea from everyone’s childhood: flying kites! I don’t know about you, but I loved flying kites as a kid. It was such a fun thing to do that was pretty much effortless. You just needed a little bit of wind! I will say, that the day we shot this, it wasn’t really windy at all. Sometimes you just need to make your own wind am I right? ?

The best part about this date is it’s super cheap! This date only costs $2.14 (depending on taxes near you haha). I purchased each kite at the dollar store and you can go to any public park for free. My favorite part about the dollar store kites is that they all have different characters on them. I saw a few Star Wars ones, Disney, Marvel, etc. I of course had to pick Barbie and Chandler picked the Ninja Turtle!

Even if you don’t have a lot of wind on the day that you go, just trying to get the kites up in the air is hilarious. As you scroll, you’ll see that I had some issues a few times, but it truly made it fun! If you’re looking for something cheap and entertaining, this date idea is for you!

I hope you all loved this date idea and I’d love to hear how your date went if you try it soon!
