Summer Date Series: Sand Castle Building Contest
Happy Monday!
I know it’s been a while since I’ve shared a fun date idea. Chandler’s work schedule doesn’t really go with my blog photo shoot schedule most of the time, so anytime that I have him free I try to do as much as I can! Since Summer’s coming to an end, I wanted to share one last date idea because let’s be honest, it is still brutally hot outside and we are all still living at the beach!
Growing up, when I would go to the beach I would LOVE to play in the sand. From building sand castles to burying people, it was always a good time! I truly believe that just because you get older, doesn’t mean you have to stop doing all of the fun things you loved as a kid. For example my sidewalk chalk date idea or blank fort date idea. If you also loved building sand castles at the beach as a kid then this date idea is for you!
For our sand castles, I purchased this 15 piece sand toy set from Target for only $10! It comes with one giant bucket, one smaller bucket, multiple shovels, and a few cute critter molds. Target (and Walmart) also have a handful of other options that are fun and affordable.
We also try to take Diesel to the beach when we go so that he can have a fun day. Usually after a few hours he’s done haha. When we did this shoot Diesel was so excited. He kept trying to destroy Chandler’s sand castle haha!
