Weekly Round Up
Happy Friday!
This month has been insane you guys. Between everything involved in the move next week (I still haven’t packed, YIKES!) and my blog and work, I have just been so so busy! I do enjoy being busy though. Anyone else? I am excited for the fun weekend ahead. Tomorrow I am attending my first horse show which will be really cool to see and on Sunday we are going to the Jags game. They won their last game so I’m hoping the momentum stays!
Also, for those of you that are new to my blog, I wanted to reintroduce my weekly round up post! Every Friday I share my favorite blog, Instagram, and magazine/social news sites posts of the week. I started this because I love supporting other bloggers and I wanted to showcase their hard work to an audience that might not even know who they are. I usually share food, fashion, and some entertainment every Friday. If you’re interested in seeing more categories please let me know in the comments below!
Food:
I discovered Pinch of Yum this week and instantly saw a ton of recipes that sounded great! Since my love for pasta will never go away, the first recipe I was drawn to was this homemade pesto dish. The pesto is made from scratch and paired with cherry tomatoes and whole wheat rigatoni pasta. Sound delicious? Get the recipe from their profile below!

For those of you who like salty and sweet flavors combined, then this salad recipe is for you! What’s Gaby Cooking shared a recipe for a salad that combines blueberries and bacon. Yes, I said bacon! This dish is perfect for anytime of the year and I could easily see this being made in a larger portion for a fun dinner party!

There’s nothing better in the fall than some nice soup and of course a matching grilled cheese sandwich! I have a fun surprise featuring grilled cheese sandwiches coming very soon (so stay tuned!), but before I share that I have to share this recipe from A Cozy Kitchen. Growing up I was more of a cereal kid than a pop tart kid. However, I know that my parents liked them and most of my friends did too. Kate from The Wood And Spoon shared the most mouth-watering recipe for blueberry lemon pop tarts on her blog the other day that I feel like would be a huge hit anywhere: brunch, breakfast, dinner (who cares? haha). I’m definitely going to look into making these.

Entertainment:
A few round up posts back I shared a video of Missy Elliott’s funky white sister rapping her song “Work It.” Well, her hope of going viral came true and we all know there’s only one way to know that you’re truly viral. Ellen DeGeneres sees it and you go on her show! Ellen surprised Mary Halsey with Missy Elliott and it is the best thing ever. Bachelor in Paradise fans! Who else was heart broken/thrilled at the season finale? Out of all the couples and people there, I, like everyone else, loved grocery store Joe! I feel like out of all the Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants, Joe’s life has changed the most. Not only did he reunite with Kendall, but he will also be on the next season of Dancing With The Stars!!!! I’ve never usually watched that show but I will definitely be watching this season. The most iconic girl’s movie ever, Mean Girls now has a milkshake designed after it! The New York locations of Black Tap Burgers have created the most perfect Mean Girls themed milkshake I have ever seen. You’ll definitely be wanting to sip this on October 3rd.
