Weekly Round Up
Happy Friday!
I am so excited about my horseback riding lesson this Sunday. For some reason, I’m extra excited about this lesson than normal. I do think it’s because of a blog post I read. Torey (Torey’s Treasures, featured below) really inspired me. She mentioned how you should invest in experiences instead of things and she is so right. I love horse back riding so much that to me it’s worth not going out to eat or spending extra money on something that isn’t truly necessary. My long term goal is to have a horse of my own and the only way I am going to get there is if I invest in these experiences now and not waste money on things that don’t get me there.
Now, of course I’m not saying that I won’t treat myself to things. That’s not living! I just want to tighten up the reins a little bit. See what I did there? 😛
Food:
I looked at my budget for myself the other day and I’m trying to do better at sticking to it! What I love about this first post, is that the total cost of the meal is on it! This meal below costs $6.28. Not bad right?! Check out this Spinach chickpea and quinoa salad recipe from Budget Bytes below!

Ya’ll know that I don’t really have a sweet tooth. If I had to pick my favorite dessert though, it would be strawberry shortcake! Two Peas and Their Pod shared a recipe for strawberry shortcake biscuits. Say what?! Prepare for your mouth to water haha! TMI? Maybe but oh well! 😛

I have seen posts similar to the one below and I definitely want to do this. I have been following Torey from Torey’s Treasures for quite some time now and she did a post about 29 things she learned in her 20’s and it’s so insightful. It’s definitely a must-read!

Entertainment/Funnies:
So, the internet broke this week when the news of Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan’s breakup was announced. I know I’m definitely sad about this because I still remember the incredibly amazing performances this couple did on Lip Sync Battle. I really hope they both are happy in the long run.

So, I think this is one of the most exciting things I’ve shared in long time. The best girl’s movie of all time is OFFICIALLY COMING TO BROADWAY! That’s right. Mean Girls is coming to Broadway April 8th!! I am so excited. Check out the cast interview below for more details!

What are everyone’s feelings about the Jersey Shore reunion? I still need to watch the episode that aired last night but I will soon just to check it out. The entire crew is returning except one person: Sammi. The article below from Refinery 29 shares her explanation as to why she chose not to return back to the show. To be honest, I think her decision was very mature and smart for what she says she is trying to focus on. You go girl!
