Weekly Round Up
Happy Friday everyone!
I am so excited to head home for a nice, relaxing weekend. I will be watching my parents dogs while they are away at an art show and I can’t wait to snuggle with the best snugglers around! I also have some fun things planned while I’m home that if all goes well, I’ll be able to share soon! Fingers crossed!

Food:
With the cooler temperatures finally arriving in North Florida next week, I can finally say that soup will start to be on the menu! In Florida, I usually never crave soup unless it’s cooler because otherwise my body is like umm no, it’s hot outside, why are you putting something hot inside of me. Ha! The second I saw this recipe for a Garden Vegetable Lasagna Soup from Budget Bytes, I instantly knew that this would be a holiday favorite with my family. I can’t wait to try it!

Have you heard of What’s Gaby Cooking? If you haven’t, she’s basically this incredible food blogger who creates delicious meal plans! I recently discovered her and went to check out her meal plans, and holy cow they look good. I looked at the one for week 45 and I’m already wanting to try the Burrata Pepperoni Pizza and the Butternut Squash Pasta. Be sure to check out this meal plan (and her others) on her website below!

So, I’m weird when it comes to breakfast food. Like, it has to be specific breakfast foods or I won’t eat it. You know how some people (a.k.a. Chandler and most of the world) can have leftover spaghetti or pizza for breakfast? Yeah, not me. If it’s not eggs, cereal, or oatmeal (you get my drift) then I don’t want it. However, when I saw the recipe below from Clean Eats By Tay, I thought, even though this is a breakfast suggestion, I would definitely eat this for a snack or lunch! The recipe involves sourdough bread, pesto, cherry tomatoes, and avocado! Delish!

So, I don’t always watch music videos anymore. It has to be really good for me to watch it nowadays. Like when Brett Eldredge came out with the dog version of his Love Someone music video I was in LOVE! As soon as I heard about Ariana Grande’s new music video for Breathin I had to check it out. She is one of my favorite vocalists and every time she’s put out a music video it’s been incredible. This one does have some hints of Pete to it which made it more interesting. So, an old coworker of mine has some exciting news about her brother. Her brother, Sean Murray will be in the new Netflix series called Westside airing TONIGHT!!! This series is all about struggling artists working together to put on a Hollywood showcase. I am so excited for her and her brother as this is definitely a huge accomplishment that he should be proud of! Tune in tonight!

You’re never too old for a few life lessons, or even a nice reminder of some that you already knew. Vanessa from The Cheeky Been is celebrating her 28th birthday this week and is sharing 28 things that she’s learned in 28 years. Some of these really hit home to me and it was something I’m very happy I read. One thing that stood out to me the most was: “Slow down”. I always try to do everything and am so worried about time and the lack thereof. This post was such a great reminder to know that if you just slow down and let everything fall into place, you’ll be much happier! I highly recommend reading!

Fashion:
I love that I can officially start wearing some sweater dresses! I’ve been waiting all YEAR for this cooler weather that’s to come next week. I do love color, so as soon as I saw this sweater dress from Dawn Darnell, I had to share it with all of you. It’s the perfect shade for fall, and the silhouette of the dress is so pretty!

This next outfit from Kristin Davis to me is the perfect combo of patterns and solids. She paired a high neck long sleeve leopard top, with the cutest red jumper, and black over the knee boots. I’m not sure I would’ve thought to pair these three together immediately but it works SO well! I definitely want to create an outfit like this for fall!

I am starting to see this sweater dress all over Instagram and I think I might get it too! I love how Ashley Brooke styled it for a more casual feel. She paired it with casual neutral sneakers for a look that’s ready for errands/out-and-about! I also linked a second outfit that she shared this week right under because I loved the color of the sweater.

Chandler and I want to go to the mountains so bad but are trying to figure out when we could go. If we do, I already know that this cabin cozy look from Jessica Crum will be in my suitcase! I truly hope velvet never goes out of style! This soft fabric is so comfy to wear, plus, it’s a texture that can be casual or formal!
