Winter Date Idea: Living Room Fort
Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and a not-so Monday Monday haha! I had my first official horseback riding lesson on Sunday and I had a wonderful time. 🙂
We also celebrated another JAGS WIN!!! Did anyone else see it? What a game at 45-42! I’m super excited for next week’s game because we are playing my cousin’s favorite team, the Patriots. Now, I haven’t introduced my cousin in my blog yet, but let me tell you all something about him. He is the biggest Patriot’s fan that has ever existed. No joke. We don’t even watch football with him because of how into the game he gets. So, of course the second the game was over I picked up my phone and gave him a call and he was like “Yeah, I saw that game” and I responded with “ready to get your butt whooped?!” Definitely a little cousin rivalry going on and it’s a ton of fun!
Now, I know I haven’t shared a date idea in a while, so I wanted to catch up with something super fun. Growing up, one of my favorite things to do was to build a fort in the living room or honestly any room in the house! Haha! If you’ve heard of the phrase: “Everything but the kitchen sink,” the same phrase kind of applies to fort building. You grab every pillow, sheet, blanket and furniture piece you have and throw it all together! There’s no right or wrong to it.
In the first year that Chandler and I were together, we actually built a smaller fort in my apartment at the time’s living room. I think we had pizza and I got some Green Apple Smirnoff drinks from Total Wine. Which by the way, go pretty well with pizza! Haha! This time around we went pretty old school with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, board games and some movies. As you’ll see as you scroll down, Diesel had to join and experience his first living room fort. 🙂
