Spot Farms Natural Dog Treats: Freeze Dried + Wild Shreds
It’s crazy to think that almost three years ago now we saw Spot Farms dog treats at PetSuperMarket and thought, “Wow, those look cool. Let’s try them!” Ever since, Spot Farms have been a favorite in our household and for the past few months I have had the privilege of working with them to showcase some of their favorite products.
You may have seen some of these dog treats shared on both mine and Diesel’s Instagram accounts . If you haven’t yet, definitely check them out! Today’s blog post is to highlight the specific treats I’ve shared over the past few months so that you can learn more about them!
P.S. Have you read my first Spot Farms blog post? It features their organic beef tender dog treats that Diesel was constantly drooling over plus more information about the brand! I highly recommend checking that out to learn more!
Over the past few months, we were able to try multiple flavors of Spot Farms Freeze Dried dog treats and Spot Farms Wild Shreds dog treats. The first flavors we received were the Freeze Dried Cage Free Turkey dog treats and the Freeze Dried Organic Chicken dog treats. As you can see below, Diesel had to make sure we remembered to give him his daily dose of treatos ha (press play)!
Freeze dried dog treats are great because they instantly lock in all the flavor, making the treat super fresh and delicious every time! Both flavors have the same ingredients (swapping out the chicken for turkey & vice versa):
- Organic Cassava Root (starch used in grain-free dog foods/treats)
- Salt
- Hickory Smoke Flavor
- Organic Rosemary Extract

The next flavors we tried were the Wild Shreds Bison Recipe dog treats and the Wild Shreds Venison Recipe. These wild shreds dog treats are a game changer! Out of all of the Spot Farms dog treats we’ve ever tried, the Wild Shreds are by far Diesel’s favorite!
These protein rich healthy dog treats are made with the same high-quality standards as all of their other treats and are designed to fulfill your dog’s will to hunt with just one bite (or three, let’s be honest here!).
What I love most about Spot Farm’s Wild Shreds dog treats (and their freeze dried dog treats) is that they don’t bother our German Shorthaired Pointer puppy, Annie’s stomach. She has a very sensitive stomach and we’ve been able to give her these treats (in small portions) without any worry.
**I am not saying that all sensitive stomach dogs will react the same way, I am just sharing my experience**
Last, we tried the Wild Shreds Grass Fed Beef Jerky dog treats. Out of all of the flavors of Wild Shreds dog treats, I think this was Diesel’s favorite flavor (even though he’d get excited about any of them ha!).
Our new favorite way to use Spot Farms Wild Shreds dog treats is to fill up one of their KONG classic’s with peanut butter or filling of your choice, and then stick a slimmer piece of the wild shreds in the hole, like a popsicle stick, and stick it in the freezer. Both Diesel and Annie absolutely love it because they think they’re getting double the treats!

I have truly loved working with Spot Farms these past few months and would recommend the treats and flavors shared above and any in my original Healthy Dog Treats: Spot Farms blog post (tons of good stuff there!).
