ARCA Pet: Pet First Aid Kit
If you were to walk into your bathroom right now, would you find a first aid kit, or at least first aid supplies like Band-Aids and Neosporin? Probably, right? Would you also find dog first aid supplies?
While we try to do our best to keep our dogs safe at all times, accidents can happen. What matters then is that we are prepared. If you enjoy taking your dogs on hikes, camping trips or any other kind of dog-friendly travel, having a dog first aid kit is so important. I was so impressed with Arca Pet’s Pet First Aid Kit and its’ extensive 100 pieces. In this post I’ll not only share my full review of this helpful emergency kit for dogs, but also share how to be prepared to use it, prior to an accident happening!
What’s In A Dog First Aid Kit:
One of the reasons why I liked this dog first aid kit from Arca Pet is because of a few additional items that I didn’t find in others like an emergency collar and thermometer. This dog first aid kit contains these 100 pieces:
- 10X Alcohol Pad
- 10X Sting Relief Pad
- 1 Antibiotic Ointment
- 5X Antiseptic Cleansing Wipe
- 5X Tongue Depressors
- 1 Safety Pin
- 3X Dressing
- 2X Non-Woven Tape
- 1 Sterile Gauze Swab
- 1 Moleskin, pre-cut and shaped (14)
- 1 Triangle Bandage
- 1 Scissors
- 1 Pet Feeder
- 20X Adhesive Bandage
- 1 Instant Cold Pack
- 1 Tweezers
- 2X Examination Gloves
- 4X PBT Bandage
- 2X PBT Bandage
- 1 Self-Adhesive Bandage
- 2X Silicone Tourniquet
- 1 Emergency Collar
- 1 Tick Remover Kit
- 1 Thermometer
- 1 Emergency Blanket
- 1 Mini Pouch (4″ X 6″)
Another reason why I love this kit is it’s affordability. All of the pet first aid supplies included in this dog first aid kit would easily cost 10X the price if bought individually. The pet first aid kit from Arca Pet costs $40 and all of the pet first aid supplies come in a shock-proof hard case that’s covered in water-resistant fabric. It’s also small and compact at only 8″ long. Plus, the 4″ X 6″ mini pouch also helps with taking essentials on the go (like tweezers or the tick kit)!
How To Give A Dog First Aid:
It’s one thing to have all of the pet first aid supplies, it’s another to know how to use them. Understanding the items inside of this dog first aid kit prior to taking it on your next adventure will set you up for success in case of emergency.
One important thing to note before we go further:
**All of the information I’m about to share should NEVER be used in place of actual veterinary care. Your vet is a trained professional and should always be consulted as soon as you are able.**
Arca Pet First Aid Kit Manual
Arca Pet has also created a dog first aid manual that offers high-level instructions on what to do in case of certain pet emergencies. My favorite part of the manual is actually the end. The end has a list of important emergency contacts like the Animal Poisin Control Center Hotline, the National Pet Recovery Hotline and more.

Helpful Dog First Aid Apps & Courses:
Two other incredible dog first aid resources are from The American Red Cross! Just like when you take a first aid course or get CPR certified, you can also take a cat and dog first aid class. The class is a 35-minute online course that covers important topics like:
- How to check your pet’s vital signs
- How to conduct preventative care for your pets
- How to recognize and provide first aid in severe emergencies like wounds, bleeding and seizures.
The second helpful dog first aid resource from The American Red Cross is their Pet First Aid App! This app is great to have on the go and allows you to select from a long list of emergency topics like: frostbite, CPR, poisoning and more. Having all of these resources in addition to your canine first aid kit, you will be more prepared to take care of your dog in an emergency.
With this pet first aid kit from Arca Pet, and the helpful information from their manual and the american red cross, I know I’m ready for any adventure with my pups! If you loved learning about this awesome dog first aid kit, be sure to check out more of my blog posts with pet safety tips:
