What Size Dog Bed Do I Need?
The Big Barker 7 orthopedic dog bed comes in three sizes: large, extra large and giant! Here is a quick breakdown of dog breeds that can fit on each size, plus the actual measurements of each dog bed size.
- Large: Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Boxers and other dogs under 25 inches tall. Actual size: (48″ X 30″ X 7″)
- Extra-Large: Dogs bigger than a lab but smaller than a Great Dane. Actual size: (52″ X 36″ X 7″)
- Giant: Great Danes. Actual size: (60″ X 48″ X 7″)
I almost went with the Big Barker giant dog bed but went with the extra-large orthopedic dog bed instead and it was perfect! He’s around 115 pounds for reference. We chose the option with the headrest because he loves to stretch out and lay his head on pillows (he’s very spoiled!). The Big Barker 7 dog bed does come in a sleek version without the headrest!
Both my pups have laid on this bed at the same time, and because of the way it’s structurally designed, I know that even with both of them on it, the bed won’t sink down at all since it’s built to hold more than 300 pounds!
