Best Elevated Dog Bed – Carlson Pet Products Review
One of Diesel and Annie’s favorite places to relax is on our porch. They love being able to enjoy the nice breeze while smelling everything the wind sends their way! Since they enjoy being out there so much, I would put a large dog bed out there but I always hated doing so because it would always get covered with dirt and dust and sometimes even little ants that sneak in through the screen.
This made me start searching for an alternative that would be great for the porch or simply the outdoors in general, which is what lead me to Carlson Pet Products, Elevated Dog Beds! You may have also heard these dog beds with other names like: dog cots, raised dog beds or dog hammock beds. I have been so impressed with how well these elevated dog beds have lasted for both Diesel and Annie and am excited to go into all the details of them in this post.
P.S. Make sure to check out my other Carlson Pet Products blog posts! I reviewed their Large Double Door Dog Crate in my How To Crate Train A Puppy Blog Post and I have a full post about The Best Dog Gate For Your Home.
1. Easily Washable
Have you ever been to an outdoor sporting event where you brought your own fold up chairs made out of canvas material? The same material is used to make these elevated dog beds! What I love most about this material is that it comes clean very easily. Let’s be honest, any dog product that can be kept clean easily is a win!
When I took these photos, my dogs were constantly putting dirt and dust all over it. With a quick swipe of my hand it was gone and still looking new. I was so happy I finally found an outdoor dog bed, that is also a pretty cheap dog bed (only $40 for the largest size and $30 for smaller sizes), for my pups to enjoy!
2. Does Not Take Up Space
I currently live in an apartment, so the amount of storage I would prefer to have isn’t necessarily available. My second favorite thing about these elevated dog beds from Carlson Pet Products, is that they fold up just like the chairs I mentioned above. No matter what size you get, these chairs take up minimal space and can easily fit in your car for your next outdoor adventure with your pup!
Both red and green dog beds featured in this post are size large (biggest size offered). Diesel is an extra large dog at 100 pounds and Annie is a large dog at 70 pounds. I would say this bed can easily fit large/extra large dogs up to 100 pounds (Diesel is a bit overweight in these pictures at 110 and is still just fine on it).
3. Perfect For Outdoor Adventures
These elevated dog beds are ideal for beach days or camping trips! I would definitely say these are the best dog beds for camping and just all around best outdoor dog bed on the market, especially for the price.
These beds can easily fold up to fit amongst other larger camping items in your car or in a camper if you have one, dirt or beach sand can easily wipe off, and your dog won’t be sitting directly on the dirt or sand because they are raised up, keeping them clean(er) – I say that lightly ha (Annie is a mud monster!).
Also, if you like to take your dog to horseshows, these are perfect and will fit right in your horse trailer! Having a place for your dog during all the craziness that can come from horseshows will give them a sense of peace and comfort knowing that they’re right where they need to be and are happy and cozy!
What did you think? Pretty cool right?! I’d love to hear your thoughts or questions in the comments below, and of course, feel free to reach out via Email or Instagram!
