Brewhound Dog Park + Bar Neptune Beach, Florida

I have taken Diesel to many dog parks since he was four months old. He absolutely loves making friends and always has a great time! I was so excited to make a special trip back to Jacksonville, Florida to visit a very unique dog park, Brewhound Dog Park + Bar. 

Located in Neptune Beach, Florida, Brewhound is one of the coolest off leash dog parks in Florida in my opinion! This one-of-a-kind hangout for dogs (of all breeds) and dog lovers was founded by two environmental scientists, Lauren and Jason! With their belief that coffee, brews and pups make life better, it’s no secret that this dog park has become one of the most pup-ular places to visit in Northeast Florida!

Brewhound Dog Park + Bar is made up of two parts: the porch and the yard! 

The porch, designed to look like a cabin, concession style bar where people can relax and play games, buy fun merchandise and enjoy the following refreshments:

 

• Beer garden with locally sourced craft beer
• Wine on tap
• Bold Bean specialty coffee + Yum Cha Tea 
• Specialty canned beers & spirits

All are welcomed with their leashed dogs in this area and a membership is not required to enter!

The yard is comprised of two sections, one for big dogs and little dogs. Located throughout the yard you will find chairs with umbrellas where you can sit and watch your best furry friend run around and play. To enter the yard, one must have a membership. Daily, monthly and yearly memberships are available! 

The yard also features the following:

• Pet friendly turf grass that is cleaned daily 
• Ruffarees that are trained to keep all playtime safe and fun
• Doggie Splash Pad (think the fun splash zones that you walk through in Universal/Disney but for dogs ?)

Brewhound is always sharing all of the fun that their dog guests have everyday at their dog park as well as how they clean their turf, special events hosted there and more.

One important thing that I will note is that this park gets very busy on the weekends. I had originally wanted to get to the park early in the morning but unfortunately we were unable to do that. If you are new to taking your dog to the dog park, I highly recommend going during the week during the day when it is not as busy. That way your dog can socialize in a calmer environment, making it a fun, positive experience!

Last but not least, remember how I said that Brewhound was founded by two environmental scientists? Brewhound also works to help the environment by utilizing green business best practices including:

• Use of hand dryers vs. paper towels
• Installation of solar panels and sky lights
• Use of reusable drink wear
• Installation of low flow toilets
• Incorporation of renewably and/or sustainably sourced construction materials
• and more!

If you’re interested in going to Brewhound for the first time, they have a whole page on their site about memberships including price packages for daily, monthly or yearly memberships as well as the park rules. 

The memberships don’t just include access to the park. You also get free swag plus if you get the palm or cypress benefits package you also get a free Bold Bean drip coffee or loose leaf tea every week. How cool is that?!
