Horseback Riding Outfit

When I create a horseback riding outfit I’m driven by two factors: style and comfort. Since this sport requires so much from us physically, I like to wear pieces that are designed for that time spent in the saddle. Think about it, when you work out in the gym, you wouldn’t want to be in something that’s hard to move in right? That’s why I love today’s riding outfit! It is comfortable, stylish, and designed for the warmer summer months.

Today’s horseback riding outfit consists of a few of my Tailored Sportsman Ice Fill Long Sleeve Shirt in white, Taylor Botori Riding Pant in Leather, and my favorite Ariat Tall Boots. 

I have three or four Tailored Sportsman Ice Fill Long Sleeve Shirts and love every single one of them! When I first discovered these shirts last year I didn’t understand what the hype was all about. Living in Florida, I thought people were nuts to wear long sleeves in the sun. Of course my mindset changed after I purchased one. These sun shirts provide the following:

• Soft, stretchy fabric that helps you move around comfortably in and out of the saddle
•  50+ UV protection 
•  Mesh fabric on the underside of the sleeves for additional airflow
•  Moisture wicking fabric that not only dries quickly, but also “converts sweat into cooling energy”

One of my favorite things about the Botori brand is how modern their designs are. While I love a classic breech with a true leather patch, there’s something about this new type of riding pant that makes me feel like an equestrian from 2019! 

These pants are multi-purpose and can be worn to the gym, in the saddle, or paired with a chic blouse and heels for work or date night! Equestrian style can be repurposed in so many ways outside of the saddle, which is something Botori succeeds at so much!
