How To Dress For Fall In Florida
If you could change anything about the place that you live, what would it be? For me, it would definitely be having seasons! Florida has two seasons: really hot and a somewhat cool.
Since we don’t really get to experience sweater weather like many other areas, Floridians have to think of other ways to create cute fall outfits.Today I’m sharing my tips on how to dress for fall in Florida (or any other warm state)!
1. Stick With Fall Colors/Tones
The fall color palette is always a beautiful one to style! Within the palette you can find colors such as:
- Shades of of green (olive, emerald)
- Shades of orange (bright or burnt)
- Shades of red (burgundy, maroon, cranberry)
- Brown
- Mustard
- Cranberry
- Navy
- Purple
When you follow the color palette, you don’t have to worry about which style you’re wearing. I found this cute floral romper from Red Dress Boutique that has many gorgeous fall tones in it, and it’s the perfect style for fall without being a romper with over the knee boots!
Also, say that where you live takes longer to cool off than others (like Florida), this is also a great outfit/style tip for transitioning into the cooler weather. I know I always get excited for fall, so the sooner I can make the transition to the new season the better!
2. Find Similar Styles To Classic Fall Pieces
This style tip is all about staying comfortable. Even though boots are my favorite thing, especially over the knee boots, it’s way too hot to be sporting those around. Same with chunky sweaters or cardigans.
To still get the fall look without sweating everywhere, opt in for similar styles such as booties, or sleeveless cardigans/dusters in fall tones or prints like floral. This way, you’re still creating that look without layering with heavy materials.
3. Style Your Heavier Pieces With Summer Pieces
Fall season is when all of the cutest jackets come out: bomber jackets, leather jackets, denim jackets and more! To still capture a fall look there’s many ways you can style your jacket without having to worry about being too warm.
- Rest your jacket over your shoulders – this keeps you cool and makes it easily accessible to take off!
- Style your jacket with shorts and boots instead of jeans
