Lovers & Friends Yellow Evie Mini Sundress

I’ve never done a blog post on a Sunday before (I think haha) but I wanted to start sharing a new favorite sundress every Sunday. My closet has always consisted primarily of dresses because dresses are the perfect way to create an effortless look while looking like you didn’t!
Today I’m sharing this bright yellow mini sundress from Lovers + Friends that I found at Revolve. Even though it’s super warm here in Florida, there’s nothing better than a cute sundress to keep you cool!
This yellow mini dress features beautiful embroidered eyelet fabric, a full lining, and adjustable self-tie straps. Because of the light fabric that this cute yellow dress has, it is so breezy and perfect for warmer temperatures.
– Pro Tip: Be gentle when opening bag and taking the dress out –
When I first pulled the dress out I had grabbed the straps and completely pulled the string out of the dress. You know how hooded sweatshirts have the drawstring at the top to adjust? This dress is exactly the same so you have to be careful in order to not pull it out. If this also happens to you, my go-to trick that I learned from my mom is to take a safety pin, hook it on to the string, and weave it through the hole again. It’s easier to grip onto the safety pin through the fabric that the tiny string the doesn’t want to move!
– Pro Tip: Tie the straps before you put it on –
Because the straps can be tricky from the start, I highly recommend tying the straps together before putting it on in order to help you. If you have a significant other, roommate, or best friend nearby then you’re totally good! I know I needed Chandler’s help with this one! If not, tying before slipping on is the way to go. That way, you at least have it on and can adjust from there (whether you take it off to adjust or do it while it’s on!
One of the reasons why I chose this sundress is the endless styling options! Paired with a denim jacket and cowboy boots, this summer dress is ready for any summer country concert or southern-inspired look you’re wanting to create. I always love to try to find dresses that are great casual dresses, date night dresses, and special event dresses. I’m happy to say that this sundress has it all!
I chose to pair this dress with a cute pair of Kelly & Katie Sandals that I found at DSW. I find most of my shoes at either DSW, Nordstrom Rack, or the sale aisle of some of my favorite retailers. They always have great prices on some of my favorite brands at a fraction of the cost which is perfect for someone who’s trying to stay on a budget but have nice things from time to time!
