Pull Your Pony Cotton Horse Lead Rope Review

If you follow me on Instagram, or have seen any of my previous equestrian posts, you’ve probably noticed that I love bright colors. Most of my sun shirts are pretty pastel colors like light purple or turquoise because they just make me happy. I even have a bright pink saddle pad that I use as often as possible! Now don’t get me wrong, I love the more traditional equestrian palette too like navy or tan, but there’s nothing better than a little pop of color!

I was so excited when the owner from Pull Your Pony reached out to me to see if I wanted to try one of their hand dyed cotton horse lead ropes. I immediately said yes! This Canadian Equestrian company is run by a total boss babe named Hannah who is keeping quality equestrian items at affordable prices, which is every adult amateur’s dream ha!

Within this post, I’ll share my honest review of their horse lead ropes as well as more information about the company and all of the amazing options they provide!

P.S. Have you seen my review of Ogilvy Equestrian’s Jump Baby Pad? Check it out!

First, I have to introduce the star of this show, Norman! Norman (Normy) is my friend Stephanie’s adorable senior Donkey. I knew the second she showed me pictures of him that I wanted to feature him with this adorable lead rope. It all came down to scheduling time between our crazy schedules ha!

He was so cute walking around the property in his cute leather halter and lead rope. Plus, the colors just pop against him! Pull Your Pony has so many fun and beautiful color combinations that really make you feel like you have something truly custom without paying hundreds of dollars. And since every lead rope is hand dyed, no two are the same!

The lead rope featured in all of my photos is the “Sunrise” which is an ombre blend of yellow, orange and pink!

Pull Your Pony not only has has a great selection of both ombre and solid color lead ropes. Whether you love bays, greys or cute little chestnuts, they have a color combo that will look adorable next to your best friend.

Every rope features the following:

  • 10 ft. long and comes with a secure durable bolt snap
  • Double tied at the end so that it will not come undone
  • Made with 100% natural cotton to prevent ropeburn

They also have lead ropes available with a stud chain. These leads are 8 ft. long and feature a 24 in. stud chain.  Below are two lead ropes available with a stud chain:

Last but certainly not least, Pull Your Pony also takes custom orders. You can create your own unique lead rope from many different color options to make something that is just for you. I immediately thought of giving these as a gift for someone’s barn! Having hand dyed lead ropes in your barn’s colors on each horse’s stall would be so cool!

They also recently introduced another new product: custom horse ribbon pillows! I’ve seen so many people post about wanting to repurpose their show ribbons and this is such a creative way to do so. This could be cute to display in your home if you have other equestrian decor or also at your barn!
