Booster Bath For Dogs: Outdoor Dog Wash Station
A few years ago, my mom purchased the Booster Bath elevated dog bathing and grooming center off Amazon and it has changed our lives when it comes to bathing our dogs at home! The bathtub at my parents house is really short and so we would have to get on our knees and really lean over, which honestly hurt our backs and knees within a few minutes.
Having our own at home dog washing station has not only helped our backs, but also made bath time for the dogs fun again! We use this backyard dog wash station as often as possible and it’s our favorite way to bathe our dogs in the spring and summer. In this post I’ll share all of the cool details and gear the Booster Bath for dogs has and why it is my favorite outdoor dog bathtub.
1. Dog Bathtub Size
When my mom got the Booster Bath for dogs, she made sure to get the xl Booster Bath outdoor dog bath so her grandson Diesel could use it too when he visits grandma’s house. The xl Booster Bath holds up to 175 pounds and is great for breeds like:
- Golden Retrievers
- German Shepherds
- Newfoundland
- Great Pyrenees
- Bull Mastiff
- Labradors
My mom’s Labrador Remi is the model in all of these photos because she absolutely loves bath time! Size wise, Remi is a pretty standard size lab, but since there are larger Labradors and Golden Retrievers, I wanted to add them to the breed list.
*For reference: Diesel weighs around 110 pounds and about 28/29 inches to the shoulder and Remi weighs 87 pounds and at 22 inches to the shoulder.

Adjustable 3-Point Restraint System With Quick Snap & Removable Collar
The Booster Bath dog bathing tub comes with its’ very own adjustable 3-point restraint system with quick snap and removable collar. This allows you to put the collar around your dog and snap them in so that they can stand still during their bath. In these photos I’m actually using Remi’s dog collar, so you have options!
One thing I will say is every dog is different in terms of being comfortable being snapped in. Diesel personally hated it and would rather stand in the tub without it, whereas Remi is perfectly comfortable and has no problem with it. If your dog isn’t a fan of it, make sure to undo the strap to keep your dog safe and relaxed!
Fan Nozzle Hose Attachment With On/Off Switch
Another awesome feature of the Booster Bath outdoor dog wash station is the fan nozzle hose attachment! This attachment hooks right up to your hose and has an on/off switch that can also control the volume of water. You can choose between a gentle or heavier rinse, allowing you to get all the soap and dirt off your dog!
Plus, you can hook the fan nozzle right to side of the Booster Bath when you aren’t using it!
Attached Shampoo Caddy
To make this at home dog washing station even more convenient for dog owners, it also has an attached shampoo caddy where you can keep everything you need right by you at all times! I like to keep my shampoo and ear cleaner with me so that I can easily do their ears right after bath time.
Drain & 5″ Drain Hose
Last but not least is the drain and 5″ drain hose for easy cleanup. This is one of my favorite parts about this backyard dog bathing station because while you’re washing your dog, the dirty water and hair is constantly going to the drain instead of staying in the tub.
If you have a dog with a lot of hair, sometimes washing your dog inside can clog up the drain, resulting in the tub filling up with all the dirty and clean water mixed together right under your dog. With the Booster Bath drain, your dog is constantly staying clean during their bath!
3. Additional Booster Bath Accessories
For all of my big dog owners, I highly recommend purchasing the Booster Bath steps. The Booster Bath steps have the same non-slip mat on every step, are lightweight and portable and hold up to 150 pounds. I do kind of wish these could be included as part of the bundle but they are a separate purchase and definitely a must-have.
