Keep Your Dog Cool In The Summer With This Foldable Extra Large Dog Pool

Since I was little, my family has always had pool time with our Labradors in the summer! Labradors love water, and my pups never passed up an opportunity to hop in the fun plastic dog pools we would get at Walmart! A while back those plastic dog pools from Walmart used to be like ten dollars, but over the years we’ve seen the prices really go up to the point where we couldn’t really justify spending almost $40 on a plastic dog pool that would crack after too much Florida heat. 

I had been seeing those foldable, portable dog pools for sale all over Chewy and Amazon for quite some time and I finally gave in and got one. I wasn’t sure if these dog swimming pools were worth it or not, or if they were durable to withstand my playful, happy pups! In this post I’ll be sharing my full review of the Jasonwell foldable dog pool from Amazon and how it can keep your dog cool in the summer!

What Is This Foldable Dog Pool Made Out Of?

While this isn’t a 100% puncture proof dog pool, the Jasonwell foldable dog pool is made out of extra-tough PVC material that is slip resistant and durable. The material of this pool reminds me of the above ground pool we used to have in my backyard. When I first went to try it out, I had wanted to trim my dogs nails prior to them jumping in, but time wasn’t on my side. Ha! Even with long nails, the pool survived three dogs and was perfectly fine! 

Now, I’m not saying you will have the same luck as I did, so I recommend making sure your dogs nails are always trimmed before they enter in the pool. That way, you can improve the chances of your dog swimming pool lasting longer!

I had to give a little feature to my handsome boy Aiden (my parents dog)! He loves the pool too!

What Size Dog Pool Should I Get?

When I was choosing what size dog swimming pool to get, I actually grabbed my tape measure and looked at the dimensions of all of the size options available. This Jasonwell foldable dog pool is available in sizes small to XXL! Since I have large dogs, I chose the extra extra large dog pool that measured 63″ around and 12″ deep. 

I knew I would need at least an extra large dog pool just based on Annie’s size and the fact that her and Remi like to play in the pool together. The price difference between the extra large dog pool and the extra extra large dog pool was only ten dollars and it gave 8 more inches, which I felt was a great deal!

Filling, Emptying and Storing Your Foldable Dog Pool

Filling your dog swimming pool is super easy. All you need is a hose, and the pool has a line inside so you know exactly where to fill it to. The pool also has a large drain valve on the exterior of the pool for emptying out the water. I will say, it will take a while to do it this way, and if you’re a little impatient like me, you might be tempted to lift it and move the water around so that it gets to the valve faster. The pool is heavier than it looks though. Ha!

Another huge reason why I wanted to try these PVC dog swimming pools, is the fact that they can be stored way easier than the plastic dog pools from Walmart. These collapsible dog pools fold up so easily and can be stored anywhere versus the plastic kiddie pools that take up your entire shed. 

So far we’ve used this dog swimming pool a few times now and it’s still in tact! I’m definitely curious to see how it holds up throughout the summer, but so far it’s been a great investment! We try to do pool time with the dogs as much as we can since it’s a great way to keep your dog cool in the summer and they have so much fun!
